Terms and Conditions (T & Cs)

The following are the terms and conditions which apply to all bookings made at Links Cottage. 

 

Booking Policy 

We operate a minimum ONE WEEK  policy, (Thursday -Thursday). 

Shorter visits will be considered outside school holidays and bank holidays.  Please send your enquiry to enquiries@Linkscottage.uk.   

All bookings are provisional until confirmed either by email or in writing by us. 

 

Links Cottage shall not be liable for any loss, damage, expense, accident, injury or inconvenience whether to person or property which the applicant or any other person may suffer or sustain arising out of or in respect of any letting.

 

Deposits 

A deposit of 30% of the total cost of the booking is due at the time of booking, with the balance due 60 days before the start of your visit.   

If at the time of your booking your holiday starts within 60 days, the total cost is due at the time of making the booking. 

 

Security Deposit 

The security deposit against loss or damage is £500. 

We will hold securely your card details for a maximum of 12 days after your departure. 

Should the housekeeper report any damage or breakages we will contact you within 10 days with all the necessary details and supported with cost estimates. 

 

Payment 

We require all payments to be made by either credit or debit card using the secure payment system on our website.  An email will be sent confirming all payments made. 

 

Parties 

We do not accept bookings for Hen or Stag parties. 

Accommodation is limited to the number of people for whom the booking is made and the maximum number in the accommodation must not exceed that stated on our website.   

 

Lead Guest 

The Lead Guest is the person in whose name the booking is made and is responsible for all payments due under the terms of the booking, including the security deposit. 

The Lead Guest must be 25 years or older and is responsible for ensuring that all members of the party adhere to the terms and conditions of the booking. 

 

Services

Wifi is available free of charge, however, we are unable to offer any technical support or be responsible for any viruses or corruption incurred as a result of using this service.  

We reserve the right to enter the property at any reasonable time. For any reasonable cause including service providers.  

 

Parking is available at Links Cottage. We cannot be held responsible for any loss of belongings or damage to your vehicle during your stay.  

Please be aware that Yarmer Estate is a private estate and has strict parking restrictions.  The driveway can park three to four cars and if necessary there are permits available on the noticeborad in the kitchen that should be placed in any car parked on the road outside Links Cottage only. 

 

Golf Course

Links Cottage is situated along side the 18th fairway of Thurlestone Golf Club .

The Lead Guest must ensure all his guests are aware that golf balls occasionally land in the garden . The owners cannot under any circumstances be held liable for any personal injury or damage done to personal property resulting from this .

You should also be aware when visiting the beach immediately below the house , that the path to it crosses both the 18th and 7th fairways . Please take great care at all times and when you do walk across. 

 

Pets 

We do not allow guests to bring any pets to the property. However, we cannot be held liable if someone is allergic to pets as we cannot guarantee that pets haven't entered the property. 

 

Arrival and Departure 

Arrival, guests are asked not to arrive before 4pm. 

Departure, guests are required to have vacated the property by 10am. 

On your departure you are required to leave the house clean and tidy throughout. 

The linen from all used beds should be placed in the plastic bags provided and left in the bedrooms.  Any furniture that has been moved should be put back to its original position.  All waste paper baskets, bathroom bins, kitchen bins and any other rubbish must be removed from the property and put in the green bin on the drive. 

Should the house be left in an unsatisfactory condition, requiring the housekeepers to spend additional time cleaning, a supplementary charge will be made. 

 

Cancellations 

If the booking is cancelled more than 180 days before the start of the visit, we will refund any deposit that has been made in full. 

Cancellations of less than 180 days before the start of the visit the Lead Guest remains responsible for the cost of the booking in full.  We will, however, try to relet your week/weeks, and if successful we will refund any payments made less any shortfall suffered as a result of the replacement booking. 

In the case of a no show, the entire cost of the stay will be charged.  

 

Holiday Insurance 

We recommend you take out holiday insurance to cover you for the duration of your stay.

We do not cover you for your holiday being unavailable due to natural disasters, terror attacks, acts of war, hijacking, riots, incidents of civil unrest, pandemics, epidemics, or general restrictions on movement imposed by local or national governments.   

 

Change of bookings 

Should you wish to change a confirmed booking for an alternative date, in the same year, we will try and accommodate your requirements. 

A change of a two week booking to a one week booking will be treated as a cancellation and covered by our cancellation policy. 

A booking moved from one year to another will also be considered as a cancelled booking. 

 

Smoking Policy 

Smoking is not allowed anywhere at this property.
